Freedom With Thorns was born out of the pain and sorrow that I had faced in my life- especially after losing my dad. It originally started as something simple- a gaming tag inspired by a character I created who has a rosebud for a head. As time progressed, I found it meant so much more.

“Freedom with Thorns” became a reflection of my own life- the reality of being free from the things I once felt bound to. That freedom didn’t come without heartache or scars.

One night, while I was seeking the Lord in my room and doodling- He revealed to me that this freedom with thorns represents Jesus.

It states in the book of John that he was crowned with thorns and a purple robe. Jesus bore our sins on that cross and because of him taking those thorns upon himself- now we are free.

This blog is something that the Lord has placed on my heart and I will continue until he tells me to stop. The blog is for anyone and everyone. Whether you believe in God or not- Welcome. Stay a while.
