About

Freedom With Thorns was born out of the pain and sorrow that I had faced in my life- especially after losing my dad. It originally started as something simple- a gaming tag inspired by a character I created who has a rosebud for a head. As time progressed and my relationship with Jesus deepened, I found it meant so much more.

“Freedom with Thorns” started out as a reflection of my own life- a reality of a forced freedom from the things I didn’t know I was bound to. The freedom came with heartache that left lasting scars. In my brokenness and amongst the panic attacks I asked for an encounter from God so that I would never question his existence again. He answered. (This is something I’ll share in depth later.)

I started seeking the Lord more seriously and desired for him to have my life because I came to the conclusion that I had no other reason to live. About 4 years later around easter time while I was spending time with the Lord in my room and doodling- He revealed to me that this freedom with thorns actually is a representation of Jesus.

It states in the book of John that he was crowned with thorns and a purple robe. Jesus bore my sins on the cross and because of him taking those thorns upon himself- now I am free. Jesus has scars for eternity to show what he did for me out of love.

This Story is true for me, but it also is true for you reading this.

This blog is something that the Lord has placed on my heart to share and ALL are welcome here. Please stay and may you encounter Him.
